Before surgery

The surgery nurse will call you a few days in advance to give you instructions.

To ensure safe treatment, you must complete a pre-information form and bring it to the surgery unit when you come in or fill it out online. You will receive the form from the surgery unit.

You must fast for 6 hours prior to registration.

You can take your own medication with a small amount of liquid in the morning, unless otherwise prescribed.

Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications a few days before surgery due to the risk of bleeding.

The surgical area must be clean and the skin intact.

Please notify us in good time if you become ill just before surgery.
